Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you browse the website, enquire about, book, apply for or participate in Academy services.
1. About the Academy
Rhythmic Yoga Academy (“RYA”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides yoga education, meditation education, professional certification programmes, regular classes, workshops, retreats, corporate wellbeing programmes and related learning services. Specific programme details may vary by intake and are confirmed in the applicable course or booking information.
2. Acceptance of These Terms
By using this website, submitting an enquiry, creating an account, applying for a programme, booking a class or participating in an Academy activity, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms and any programme-specific rules or notices provided to you.
3. Website Use
You agree to use the website lawfully and responsibly. You must not attempt to interfere with its operation, introduce malicious code, access restricted systems without permission, impersonate another person, submit misleading information, or use Academy content for unlawful or unauthorised purposes.
4. Programme Information
Course titles, duration, schedules, faculty, fees, delivery methods, recognition statements and other programme information are provided for information and may be updated. The applicable information communicated for your intake or booking will govern where it differs from general website content.
References to external recognition or registration, including Yoga Alliance or Sri Lanka Yoga Registry / Yoga.lk pathways, describe the specific programme or pathway identified on the relevant programme page. Recognition does not automatically guarantee employment, licensing, immigration status, insurance coverage or registration with every external organisation.
5. Applications and Admission
Submission of an application does not by itself guarantee admission. The Academy may review applications, request additional information, conduct an admission discussion or apply programme-specific entry requirements. Admission is confirmed only when the Academy communicates acceptance according to its applicable process.
6. Accounts and Student Information
Where an account is provided, you are responsible for keeping login information confidential and for providing accurate information. You must promptly notify the Academy if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation. The Academy may suspend or restrict an account where necessary for security, administration or compliance.
7. Fees and Payments
Programme and class fees are stated in the applicable booking or programme information. Unless expressly stated otherwise, fees are payable according to the payment instructions issued by the Academy. Payment records may be retained for accounting and administrative purposes.
A place in a course, class or event is not guaranteed until the Academy confirms the booking or enrolment. Bank charges, payment-provider charges or other third-party charges may apply where relevant.
8. Cancellations, Transfers and Refunds
Cancellation, transfer and refund arrangements may differ by programme, course, class, workshop, retreat or corporate engagement. The specific policy communicated at the time of booking or enrolment applies. Where no specific policy has been provided, contact the Academy as soon as possible before the scheduled activity. Any refund is subject to applicable law, the agreed booking terms and reasonable administrative considerations.
9. Classes, Yoga Practice and Wellbeing
Yoga, meditation, movement and wellbeing activities involve physical and personal participation. You should work within your own ability and inform the instructor of relevant limitations or circumstances that may affect participation. If you have a medical condition, injury, pregnancy-related concern or other health consideration, seek appropriate professional advice before participating where necessary.
Academy instruction is educational and wellbeing-oriented. It is not a substitute for diagnosis, medical treatment, psychotherapy or other regulated healthcare services.
10. Professional Certification
Completion certificates are issued according to the Academy's applicable academic, attendance, assessment and administrative requirements. A certificate confirms the achievement represented by that certificate; it does not itself confer a government licence or guarantee professional employment.
Where a programme references an external registry, professional body or recognition pathway, students are responsible for checking any separate application, membership, renewal, insurance, continuing education or jurisdiction-specific requirements.
11. Corporate Yoga
Corporate sessions are arranged according to the agreed proposal, schedule, venue, participant numbers, scope and fee. The corporate client is responsible for providing safe and suitable premises and accurate information relevant to the session. Any changes to timing, participant numbers, venue or scope should be communicated as early as possible.
12. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, Academy website content, branding, course materials, graphics, photographs, documents, recordings and other materials are owned by or licensed to the Academy or their respective rights holders. You may use materials supplied to you for your own learning as permitted by the Academy, but you may not reproduce, resell, publish, distribute, modify or commercially exploit them without permission.
13. Photography, Video and Events
The Academy may document events for operational or promotional purposes where appropriate. Where consent is required for identifiable promotional use, the Academy will seek it through an appropriate process. Participants should notify staff if they have concerns about photography or recording at a particular event.
14. Third-Party Services and Links
The website may contain links to third-party services. We are not responsible for third-party websites, content, availability, security or privacy practices. Your use of a third-party service is subject to its own terms.
15. Availability and Website Accuracy
We aim to keep the website accurate and available, but information may occasionally be incomplete, outdated or affected by technical issues. We may change, suspend or discontinue a website feature or service where reasonably necessary.
16. Limitation and Personal Responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you remain responsible for your own decisions and participation. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits a liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. The Academy does not guarantee a particular personal, professional, financial, health or career outcome from participation in a programme.
17. Suspension or Termination
The Academy may refuse service, suspend access or terminate participation where reasonably necessary because of serious misconduct, non-payment, security concerns, unlawful activity, material breach of these Terms or other circumstances permitted by law. Where appropriate, the Academy may provide an opportunity to resolve the issue.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page. Continued use of the website or participation in services after an update may constitute acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are intended to operate under the laws applicable in Sri Lanka, subject to any mandatory rights or protections that apply to you. Any dispute should first be raised with the Academy so that the parties have a reasonable opportunity to resolve it before formal proceedings, where appropriate.
